ABOUT US

The Nigerian Cultural Association (NCA) is a non-political, non-sectarian, cultural and educational organization. We serve the Buffalo and Western New York community. We also organize and participate in cultural and family activities and festivals. Our purpose is the following:
- The promotion of friendship and understanding between the peoples of Nigeria and the United
States of America through personal contact and cultural exchange.
- To promote and develop public knowledge and information about these countries.
- To foster and develop an awareness of Nigerian culture and identity to younger generation
of Americans of Nigerian extraction.
- To provide the Nigerian people arriving in this country with information about the culture, customs
and life in the United States of America to enable them to integrate into the community.
- To provide a cultural environment that encourages: concerts, exhibitions, films, lectures, dances,
social evenings, outings etc.
- Address the adverse needs of its members and work towards fulfilling these needs with
proper planning, consultation and execution, and
- Create a feeling of brotherhood and sisterhood among its members and other people
of Nigerian extraction in the area.
